How to Boil Brown Rice

The rice

Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil.
- While the water is boiling, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Once boiling, add salt and rice, and cook uncovered for 22-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Drain the rice in a fine-mesh strainer and spread it evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle with vinegar or citrus juice and toss to combine.
- Let sit for a few minutes to drain completely, then transfer to a serving dish or store in the refrigerator.
