Instructions
- 1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil with at least 6 cups of water for every cup of rice.
- 2. Rinse the rice in a fine mesh colander under running water to remove excess starch.
- 3. Add the rinsed rice to the boiling water and reduce the temperature as necessary to maintain a steady boil.
- 4. Boil uncovered for 30 minutes.
- 5. Drain the remaining cooking water and return the rice to the pot.
- 6. Cover the pot and let the rice rest off the heat for 10 minutes.
- 7. Fluff the rice, season as desired, and serve.
