Easy Brown Rice with Cumin

Ingredients

The rice

  • cups short grain brown rice, uncooked
  • 2 cups prepared vegetable broth
  • cups water
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

The garnish (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley or cilantro

Instructions

  1. Combine rice, vegetable broth, and water in a pot, cover, and bring to a boil.
  2. Add cumin seeds and stir well. Reduce heat to medium, cover, and cook for about 40-45 minutes until liquid is absorbed and grains are tender.
  3. Garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro if desired.
