Shrimp Garlic Noodles

Ingredients

The noodles

  • 2 lbs fresh Taiwanese-style yellow oil noodles
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 10 cloves garlic
  • 2 ½ tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

The shrimp

  • 10 oz shrimp, shell-on
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon scallion, chopped
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Loosen the fresh noodles and rinse them with hot water to remove oil and slightly cook them, then set aside.
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter and sauté minced garlic until browned, then add oyster sauce and sugar before mixing in the noodles.
  3. Stir in Parmesan cheese and transfer the noodles to a serving platter.
  4. In the same skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic, then add shrimp, soy sauce, and sugar until cooked.
  5. Serve the garlic noodles topped with shrimp.
