Ingredients

The shrimp

  • lbs shrimp, shelled and deveined

The sauce

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 dashes ground black pepper
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper, optional
  • 1 tablespoon scallion, chopped
  • 4 slices lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Thaw the frozen shrimp and pat them dry.
  2. Heat a wok or skillet over medium heat and add melted butter.
  3. Sauté minced garlic for 10 seconds, then add the shrimp.
  4. Stir the shrimp and add fish sauce, sugar, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using.
  5. Cook the shrimp, then add chopped scallions.
  6. Squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp and serve immediately.
