Lemon Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients

The shrimp

  • lbs extra-large shrimp, peeled and deveined

The sauce

  • 3 Tbsp butter, melted
  • Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp minced fresh parsley
  • tsp sugar
  • 4 tsp olive oil, divided
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix melted butter, lemon juice, and parsley in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Pat shrimp dry and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and sugar.
  3. Heat 2 tsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add half the garlic and half the shrimp to the skillet and cook until shrimp is opaque, about 3 minutes.
  5. Transfer cooked shrimp to a foil packet to keep warm.
  6. Repeat the cooking process with the remaining shrimp.
  7. Return the shrimp in foil to the pan with the other shrimp.
  8. Pour the butter mixture over the shrimp and toss to coat.
  9. Serve warm.
