Instructions
- Make the pesto by blending basil, pine nuts, parmesan, and garlic in a food processor, then add oil, lemon juice, and salt until smooth.
- Prepare the pizza dough and preheat the oven to 475°F (246°C).
- Grease a baking sheet with olive oil and sprinkle with cornmeal.
- Shape the dough into a 12-inch circle and place it on the prepared pan.
- Push dents into the dough to prevent bubbling and brush with olive oil.
- Spread the pesto over the dough, then top with mozzarella and tomatoes, sprinkling with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 14-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
- Remove from oven and garnish with fresh basil, extra pesto, red pepper flakes, and parmesan if desired.
- Slice and serve immediately.
