Ingredients

The greens

  • 1 pound collard greens

The seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped white onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 leg smoked turkey
  • cups chicken broth
  • ½ tablespoon Creole seasoning

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to the Sauté function and heat the olive oil.
  2. Add the chopped onions and cook until translucent, then stir in the minced garlic.
  3. Layer half of the collard greens into the pot, followed by the smoked turkey leg, and then add the remaining greens.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle the Creole seasoning on top.
  5. Seal the lid on the Instant Pot and cook on high pressure for 25 minutes.
  6. Once cooking is complete, perform a quick release of the steam.
  7. Remove the turkey leg, shred the meat, and return it to the pot.
  8. Stir the collard greens and serve.
