Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 9x13-inch pan with nonstick spray and parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cream of tartar, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar together until smooth, then mix in the eggs one at a time followed by the vanilla.
- Combine the flour mixture with the butter mixture until well blended, then fold in cinnamon chips if using.
- Spread the thick batter evenly in the prepared pan and pat it down with sprayed hands.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the surface springs back when pressed. Let cool completely before cutting.
