The glaze

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare an 8x4-inch loaf pan.
- Cream together the butter and sugar, then beat in the eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients, eggnog, and rum alternately to the wet mixture.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
- Mix the glaze ingredients and drizzle over the loaf once cooled.
