Blueberry Simple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh Blueberries
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • ½ cup Water
  • a tiny pinch Kosher or Sea Salt

Instructions

  1. Combine equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir until the sugar dissolves, about two minutes.
  3. Add the blueberries and a pinch of salt, stirring to coat the blueberries.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low and let the blueberries simmer for about 10 minutes without stirring.
  5. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
  6. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a sterilized glass container, discarding the blueberries.
