Ingredients

The pasta

  • 8 oz spaghetti

The lobster

  • lbs live lobster
  • 6 oz lobster meat

The sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 dashes ground black pepper
  • cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Japanese cooking sake
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 small tomato, cut into small cubes
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • lemon wedges
  • shaved parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Boil water and cook the lobster for about 10 minutes, then extract the meat from the claws and tail.
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat, then sauté the garlic.
  4. Add the lobster meat, salt, and black pepper to the skillet.
  5. Stir in the spaghetti and combine well with the lobster.
  6. Add chicken broth, sake, and mirin, tossing until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Mix in tomatoes, parsley, and lemon juice.
  8. Transfer the pasta to serving platters and garnish with lemon wedges and shaved Parmesan cheese.
