Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and taco seasoning.
- Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and grease it.
- Sear the chicken breasts until well-browned on both sides.
- Pour salsa over the chicken and bake for 15 to 25 minutes until the chicken reaches 150°F.
- Sprinkle cheese over the chicken and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until it reaches 165°F.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
