Ingredients

  • 1 small shallot
  • 2 tablespoons aged balsamic vinegar
  • 4 medium heirloom tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon fleur de sel
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Soak sliced shallots in aged balsamic vinegar for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Arrange sliced tomatoes on a plate with the marinated shallots and vinegar.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with fleur de sel and pepper, and add basil.
