Ingredients

The pasta

  • 10 oz. spaghetti

The seafood

  • 4 oz. shrimp
  • 8 oz. Manila clams
  • 4 oz. scallops

The sauce

  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 8 oz. whole peeled tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped Italian basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • to taste salt
  • for garnishing chopped Italian parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Blend the whole peeled tomatoes in a blender or food processor to make the sauce.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then sauté the minced garlic.
  4. Add the shrimp, Manila clams, and scallops to the skillet and stir to combine with the garlic.
  5. Add the tomato sauce and basil leaves, then cook the seafood until almost done.
  6. Season with salt and sugar, then add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and mix well.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
