Ingredients

The pasta

  • 16 ounces spaghetti

The sauce

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 150 mls white wine or fish broth
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 12 ounces mixed seafood
  • ½ pound mussels
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté the onion until translucent.
  3. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Stir in tomato paste and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the white wine and simmer until the alcohol smell dissipates.
  6. Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and half of the parsley, then simmer and adjust seasoning.
  7. Add the mixed seafood and mussels, cooking until the mussels open.
  8. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce and seafood, tossing to coat, and serve with remaining parsley.
