Sausage Hash Brown Casserole

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare a pie plate or oven-safe skillet with nonstick spray.
- In a bowl, mix hash browns with salt and pepper, then drizzle with melted butter and press into the bottom of the prepared dish.
- Bake the hash brown crust for 25 minutes until golden brown, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F.
- Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned, then drain and set aside.
- Whisk the eggs in a bowl and combine the cooked sausage, cheese, and scallions in another bowl.
- Pour the eggs over the baked hash brown crust, then top with the sausage and cheese mixture.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 25 to 30 minutes until the eggs are set.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
