Pan Seared Salmon

The cooking fat and flavorings

unsalted butter

garlic, peeled

sprigs
thyme

cayenne pepper

lemon juice
Instructions
- Rinse the salmon and pat dry, then season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
- Place the salmon skin side down in the skillet, adding garlic and thyme.
- Sear the salmon for about 1 minute without flipping.
- Flip the salmon and sear the other side for another minute, turning the garlic as needed.
- Flip back to skin side down, sprinkle with cayenne pepper, and add lemon juice.
- Turn off the heat and serve immediately.
