Instructions
- Heat oil and 2 popcorn kernels in a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat until the kernels pop.
- Remove the pot from heat and add the remaining popcorn kernels, cover, and let it rest for 60 seconds.
- Return the pot to medium heat and continue cooking, occasionally shaking the pot to ensure even cooking.
- Once popping slows to about one pop every few seconds, remove the lid and transfer the popcorn to a serving bowl.
- Season with salt and any additional toppings, then serve immediately.
