Ingredients

  • cups steel cut oats
  • 3 cups plain, unsweetened almond milk
  • 3 cups water
  • cup maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • teaspoon salt
  • 2 large apples, shredded

Instructions

  1. Combine oats, almond milk, water, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt in the slow cooker and mix well.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally if possible.
  3. Once cooked, peel and shred the apples and add them to the slow cooker, mixing well.
  4. Cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  5. Serve with nut butter, additional shredded apple, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
