Gomoku Mame

Ingredients

  • 300 g Soaked and cooked Soy beans
  • 1 strip Konbu (kelp) soaked in water
  • 50 g Carrot
  • 150 g Konjac
  • 50 g Renkon (lotus root)
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Konbu dashi powder stock
  • 3 tbs Soy sauce
  • 2 tbs Mirin
  • 1 tbs Sugar

Instructions

  1. Soak the Konbu in water for 30 minutes and cut it into small squares.
  2. Dice the carrot and Konjac into small pieces.
  3. Cut the renkon into small sizes.
  4. Boil water in a pot and add the dashi powder.
  5. Add soy sauce, mirin, and sugar to the pot.
  6. Add all the other ingredients to the pot and simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  7. Cool the dish down and refrigerate to allow the flavors to be absorbed.
  8. Serve as a side dish in a small bowl.
