Instructions
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy, then mix in the egg and vanilla.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, adding milk and food coloring, then mix until combined.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare baking sheets.
- Scoop and roll the dough into balls and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 11-13 minutes until the edges are set and the centers are soft.
- Cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
