Ingredients

The rice

  • 1 cup Jasmine rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth

The seasoning

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon curry powder
  • kosher salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat a medium-sized pot with a lid on the stove.
  2. 2. Add olive oil and diced onion, cooking until the onion is tender, about 3 minutes.
  3. 3. Stir in turmeric and curry powder, cooking for 15-30 seconds.
  4. 4. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil, then add the rice.
  5. 5. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover the pot, and cook according to the rice package directions.
  6. 6. Once cooked, remove from heat, fluff with a fork, and add salt to taste before serving.
