Instructions
- Sauté butter, garlic, turmeric, cumin, and cinnamon in a medium sauce pot over medium heat for 1-2 minutes until garlic softens.
- Add uncooked rice to the pot and stir, cooking for about 2 minutes to slightly toast the rice.
- Pour in chicken broth and add the bay leaf. Cover and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes with the lid on.
- After 20 minutes, turn off the heat and let it rest for an additional 10 minutes without removing the lid.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and serve.
