Ingredients

The rice

  • 1 cup Jasmine rice

The cooking liquid

  • cups water (or broth)

The seasoning

  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (or fat of choice)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice a few times and drain thoroughly.
  2. Combine water, salt, and coconut oil in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
  3. Add the rinsed rice, stir quickly, cover, and reduce heat to a low simmer for 12 minutes.
  4. Turn off the heat and let the rice sit covered for 10 minutes.
  5. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve.
