Ingredients

The rice

  • 1 ½ cup basmati rice, uncooked

The liquid

  • 1 can (13.5-ounce) coconut milk
  • 1 ¼ cup water or coconut water

The flavorings

  • 1 tablespoon unrefined coconut oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium-sized saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Stir, then immediately reduce heat to medium-low.
  4. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
