The shrimp

shrimp, peeled and deveined
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions for al dente texture.
- In a large sauté pan, heat olive oil and add chopped garlic.
- Once the garlic starts to sizzle, add pepperoncini and crushed red pepper flakes.
- After about 30 seconds, add shrimp and sauté until they are halfway cooked.
- Add red wine (if using), marinara sauce, and half of the chopped basil.
- Allow the sauce to simmer on low heat for 3-5 minutes.
- Mix some of the sauce into the spaghetti and place portions in serving bowls.
- Top with shrimp, pepperoncini, additional sauce, and a sprinkle of chopped basil.
- Serve with crusty bread and enjoy!
