Instructions
- 1. In a small saucepan, combine water, dulse, dried shiitake mushrooms, and sea salt.
- 2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- 3. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 4. Strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl, pressing the mushrooms and dulse to extract all the liquid.
- 5. Add chickpea miso and tamari to the strained liquid, adjusting seasoning as needed.
- 6. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month or freeze in an ice cube tray for up to 2 months.
