Simple Marinara Sauce

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat and sauté shallots until softened and golden.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Stir in the crushed San Marzano tomatoes, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 45 minutes to an hour.
- Taste and adjust seasonings as needed, then stir in fresh basil before serving.
