Ingredients

  • 6 medium sized apples, peeled, cored and sliced thin
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp salt

Crumble

  • ¾ cup Gluten Free flour
  • ¾ cup coconut sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • cup chilled and cubed butter

Instructions

  1. 1. Combine the crust ingredients in a bowl and blend until crumbly.
  2. 2. Add the egg and gradually mix in water until a dough forms, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. 3. Prepare the filling by mixing sliced apples with lemon juice, then combine with sugar and spices.
  4. 4. For the crumble, mix flour, sugar, and spices, then blend in butter until crumbly.
  5. 5. Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a pie dish.
  6. 6. Roll out the dough and fit it into the pie dish, then fill with the apple mixture.
  7. 7. Top with the crumble mixture, covering the apples completely.
  8. 8. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly, then cool before serving.
