Ingredients

The sauce

  • ΒΌ cup soy sauce or tamari
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons fresh grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)

Thickening agent

  • 2 teaspoons corn starch
  • 2 tablespoons warm water

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, maple syrup, minced garlic, and ginger in a mason jar.
  2. Add sriracha if desired, then close the jar and shake until mixed.
  3. To thicken, whisk cornstarch with warm water in a small bowl until dissolved.
  4. Pour the teriyaki sauce into a small saucepan and heat over medium-high heat.
  5. Once simmering, add the cornstarch slurry and whisk until combined.
  6. Reduce heat to medium and continue whisking until the sauce thickens.
