Turkey Cranberry Sliders

Ingredients

The filling

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 lb. leftover roast turkey meat or sliced deli turkey
  • 6 oz. white American and/or provolone cheese
  • to taste Kosher salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper

The condiments

  • cup leftover cranberry sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. mayonnaise

The rolls

  • 1 (12-oz.) package King’s Hawaiian rolls or 12 small soft dinner rolls

Optional ingredients

  • to taste leftover mashed potatoes
  • 2 pickled hot cherry peppers

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and cook the garlic until fragrant.
  2. Set aside half of the garlic butter and add chopped onion to the saucepan, cooking until softened.
  3. Add the turkey meat and warm it through, then stir in the cheese gradually until melted.
  4. Combine cranberry sauce and mayonnaise in a small bowl.
  5. Brush the reserved garlic butter on the rolls, assemble the sliders with mashed potatoes, turkey mixture, peppers, and cranberry mayo.
