Big Mac Ground Turkey Sliders

Ingredients

The sliders

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp oil (olive or avocado)
  • 12 pieces Hawaiian slider rolls
  • 1 tbsp melted butter (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 4-6 slices cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sweet onion (diced)
  • ½-1 cup pickles (sliced)
  • 2 pieces tomatoes (sliced)
  • 1 heart romaine lettuce (chopped)

The burger sauce

  • cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • tbsp dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • to taste salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat and add ground turkey, seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until browned, about 10 minutes.
  3. Slice the rolls in half and arrange them on a sheet pan. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
  4. Add the cooked ground turkey to the inside of the buns, pressing gently.
  5. Top the turkey with sliced cheese.
  6. Bake the sliders for 7-10 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  7. While baking, mix the burger sauce ingredients in a bowl and adjust seasoning to taste.
  8. Remove sliders from the oven and add lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, and burger sauce. Replace the tops of the buns and slice into 12 sliders.
