Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugars in a stand mixer until light and fluffy, then add molasses and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients and gradually mix them into the wet mixture.
- Add 1 tablespoon of water to moisten the dough, adding more if necessary.
- Use a cookie scoop to portion the dough, roll into balls, and coat in cane sugar.
- Place the dough balls on the baking sheet, flatten slightly, and bake for 10 minutes.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
