Ingredients

The pork and sauce

  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup tomato paste
  • 4 tablespoons paprika
  • ½ tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 3 teaspoons black pepper
  • 5 pounds pork butt, cut into 2 pieces

The buns

  • as needed rolls or buns

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except the pork and buns in a slow cooker and stir well.
  2. Add the pork pieces to the slow cooker and cover with the lid.
  3. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and shreds easily.
  4. Shred the pork with forks and mix it back into the sauce in the slow cooker.
  5. Serve the pulled pork on rolls or buns.
