BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches

boneless pork shoulder, pork butt, or pork sirloin roast

The cooking liquid

water or low-sodium chicken broth

liquid smoke
The sauce
Instructions
- Cut the pork roast into large 4-inch pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- For slow cooker: Add water or broth and liquid smoke, then add pork. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 5-6 hours until tender.
- For pressure cooker: Decrease water/broth to 1 cup, add to the cooker with pork and liquid smoke. Cook on high pressure for 55-60 minutes and let pressure release naturally.
- Remove pork and discard most of the liquid. Shred the pork and return to the cooker.
- Add BBQ sauce to the shredded pork and heat through before serving on buns.
