  • cups unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 3 cups filtered water

Optional Add-ins

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • a pinch ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine shredded coconut, water, and any desired add-ins in a high-powered blender.
  2. Blend for about 1-2 minutes until creamy.
  3. Taste and adjust consistency or sweetness as desired by adding more water or sweetener, then blend again.
  4. Pour the mixture into a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer to separate the milk from the pulp.
  5. Squeeze out the remaining milk and store the coconut milk in a glass jar with an airtight lid in the fridge.
  6. Use the coconut milk as needed and shake or blend again if it separates.
