Avocado Chocolate Mousse

The mousse

chopped semisweet chocolate or chocolate chips, at least 60% dark

ripe avocados

unsweetened cocoa powder

unsweetened almond milk

pure vanilla extract

light agave nectar or maple syrup (optional)

fresh raspberries, sliced strawberries, whipped cream or whipped coconut cream, chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Halve and pit the avocados, then scoop them into a food processor.
- Add the melted chocolate, cocoa powder, almond milk, vanilla extract, and salt to the food processor.
- Blend until very smooth and creamy, scraping down the bowl as needed.
- Taste and add agave if more sweetness is desired.
- Spoon the mousse into glasses and serve immediately or refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight for a thicker consistency.
- Top with fresh berries, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings before serving.
