butter
Instructions
- Heat a skillet or griddle to medium heat (about 300 degrees if using an electric skillet).
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place the cheese evenly on top of one un-buttered side, then top with another slice of bread, butter-side up.
- Carefully place each sandwich on the hot skillet.
- Cook until the cheese is starting to melt, the butter smells caramelized, and the bread is golden brown.
- Using a spatula, carefully flip the sandwich.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is completely melted.
- Cut each sandwich in half diagonally and serve.
