Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 to 2 ounces grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 to 2 ounces grated Gruyère or raclette cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Spread Dijon mustard on the other side of one slice.
  3. Layer the grated cheddar and Gruyère or raclette cheese on top of the mustard.
  4. Place the other slice of bread on top, mayo side out.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and melt butter to coat the pan.
  6. Add the sandwich to the pan, cover, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Flip the sandwich, cover, and cook until the other side is golden and cheese is melted.
  8. Slice the sandwich and serve.
