Slow Cooker Beef Ribs

Ingredients

The ribs

  • 3-5 pounds beef back ribs
  • to taste seasoning salt or salt and pepper

The sauce

  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. If the ribs are in a rack, cut them apart.
  2. Sprinkle the ribs with seasoning salt or salt and pepper and layer them in the slow cooker.
  3. Add 1½ cups of barbecue sauce and 1 cup of water to the slow cooker.
  4. Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours until the meat is tender.
  5. Transfer the ribs to a foil-lined baking sheet, membrane-side down.
  6. Brush the ribs with the remaining ½ cup of barbecue sauce and broil for 5 to 8 minutes until caramelized.
  7. Let the ribs cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
