Slow Cooker Crockpot Ribs with BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

The ribs

  • 1 rack ribs (3-4 pounds)

The seasoning

  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar or sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper

The sauce

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Pat the ribs dry and remove the membrane from the back.
  2. Sprinkle the spices onto both sides of the ribs and slice if necessary to fit in the slow cooker.
  3. Place the ribs in the slow cooker and drizzle BBQ sauce over them.
  4. Cook on Low for 8-10 hours or on High for 4-5 hours.
  5. Check the internal temperature; it should be between 195 to 205 degrees for pork.
  6. Carefully remove the ribs as they will be very tender.
  7. For crispy ribs, broil them in the oven or grill for a few minutes.
