Ingredients

The ribs

  • 3 lbs Country Style Pork Ribs (bone-in or boneless)

The seasoning and sauce

  • ½ cup Rib Spice Rub
  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce (a smoky one works well)

The vegetables

  • 1 large Onion

Instructions

  1. Spray the crock with cooking spray or use a cooking bag.
  2. Peel and cut the onion into sixths, then line the bottom of the slow cooker with the onion pieces.
  3. Place the ribs in the crock and sprinkle the rib spice rub on all sides.
  4. Cover and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours or on High for 3 to 4 hours until fork-tender.
  5. Once done, remove the ribs and onion to a serving platter.
  6. Slather the ribs with barbecue sauce on all sides.
  7. Serve with extra barbecue sauce for dipping.
