The sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 250°F.
- Mix the dry rub ingredients in a bowl.
- Season the ribs with the dry rub and place them in a baking dish or on a foil-lined sheet pan, fatty side up.
- Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 2 to 2¼ hours until the internal temperature reaches 195-205°F.
- Remove the foil and coat the ribs with barbecue sauce, then return to the oven uncovered for another 30 minutes.
- For a crisp exterior, broil the ribs for 3-5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, brush with more barbecue sauce, and let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
