Chocolate Whoopie Pie Ingredients

  • 1 ⅔ cups all-purpose flour
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk

Biscoff Cream Cheese Frosting Ingredients

  • 1 block (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • ½ cup Biscoff spread
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. 2. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. 3. In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until combined, then add egg and vanilla and mix well.
  4. 4. Gradually add half of the flour mixture and half of the milk, mixing until incorporated, then repeat with the remaining flour and milk.
  5. 5. Drop tablespoon-sized clumps of batter onto the baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
  6. 6. Bake for about 10 minutes or until the cookies spring back when pressed, then cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
  7. 7. For the frosting, beat cream cheese and Biscoff spread until combined, then add vanilla and powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
  8. 8. Once cookies are cool, spread frosting on one cookie and top with another to form a whoopie pie.
