Homemade Lasagna

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the lasagna noodles until al dente, then drain and rinse with cold water.
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat, add sausage and ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
- Add marinara sauce to the meat mixture and stir to combine.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, eggs, heavy cream, lemon juice, 1 cup mozzarella, and ¾ cup Parmesan until smooth.
- In a 9x13 baking dish, spread 1½ cups of sauce, layer with noodles, then add 2 cups of sauce and ½ cup mozzarella.
- Repeat layering with noodles, ricotta mixture, more noodles, sauce, and remaining cheeses.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
- Let sit for 15 minutes before serving and garnish with fresh herbs.
