Easy Brioche Loaf

Ingredients

  • 6 cups all-purpose or bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 2.5 teaspoons instant yeast
  • cup sugar
  • 1¾ – 2 cups lukewarm water
  • 2 eggs large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, salt, yeast, and sugar.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, water, and melted butter.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients to form a sticky dough ball.
  4. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm area for 2 to 3 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Grease two loaf pans and preheat the oven to 375ºF.
  6. Deflate the dough and divide it into two equal portions.
  7. Shape each portion into an oblong loaf and place in the prepared pans.
  8. Let the dough rise until it crowns the rim of the pans, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  9. Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  10. Let cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
