Bread Machine Brioche

Ingredients

The dough

  • ¼ cup water
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 ⅔ cups bread flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
  • ¾ teaspoon salt

For topping

  • 1 egg beaten

Instructions

  1. Add water, eggs, melted butter, bread flour, sugar, yeast, and salt to the bread machine.
  2. Select the dough cycle and start the machine.
  3. Once the dough is processed, transfer it to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
  4. Refrigerate the dough overnight or up to two days.
  5. Turn the refrigerated dough onto a floured surface and divide it into two equal pieces.
  6. Shape each piece into a ball and place them seam side down in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Let the dough rise in a warm place for two hours.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  9. Beat the remaining egg with water and a pinch of salt, then brush it on top of the dough.
  10. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 190°F.
  11. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
