Easy Brioche

The egg wash
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a stand mixer on low speed, then add eggs and milk.
- Switch to a dough hook and mix until firm and elastic, then gradually add butter and mix until smooth.
- Knead the dough by hand, form into a ball, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin pan. Divide dough into 12 pieces and shape into balls.
- Make an egg wash and brush on the dough balls, then bake until golden-brown, about 18 minutes.
