Homemade Brioche Buns
Ingredients
The dough

The egg wash

Instructions
- Warm the coconut milk in a microwave until lukewarm.
- Combine the warm coconut milk and yeast in a stand mixer and let it sit until dissolved.
- Add sugar, salt, and eggs, then mix on medium speed.
- Switch to a dough hook, add flour, and mix until the dough is firm and elastic.
- Incorporate half the butter, then the remaining butter gradually until fully mixed.
- Knead the dough until smooth and shiny, then place it in a greased bowl.
- Cover and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
- Optionally refrigerate the dough overnight for improved flavor.
- Bring the dough to room temperature before working with it.
- Divide the dough into 16 pieces and shape into round balls.
- Brush the buns with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar or sesame seeds.
- Let the buns rise in a warm place until doubled in volume.
- Preheat the oven to 350℉ (180℃) and bake the buns until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving warm or at room temperature.
